Type Tuesday: Trip Print Press

Toronto-based Trip Print Press has posted some beautifully composed photographs of their press and process.

It is our mandate to work exclusively in the letterpress process. This is not necessarily for nostalgic purposes, but rather because of its practicality, beauty, economy & ease of work. We do not wish to replicate dated typographical motifs, but to create distinctive and genuinely original printed work of all kinds. A montage of salvaged elements such as fonts of typefaces, tint blocks, type high strip material, ornaments, cuts, halftone blocks & engravings have a home in the shop, ready for use and re-use.
