Who doesn't love Dr. Suess? Tonight is the opening of 'the Art of Dr. Suess Retrospective' exhibition at Calgary's Artevo gallery and Janine is kindly taking me along as her companion. I am eager to glimpse his secret collection of drawings, as well as his "Unorthodox Taxidermy" scuptures. Apparently Dr. Suess' father use to work at the Forest Park Zoo, providing the inspiration and the raw materials: actual antlers, beaks, horns... for his fantastical mixed-media animal creations.
