Moomintroll Mania

Tove Jansson (1914-2001), the much loved Finnish author and illustrator of the Moomintroll series is another bright star in the creative universe of children's book illustration. The Moomin series has been translated into over 25 languages and the dreamy landscapes, quirky characters and whimsical adventures of the Moomin family captured the hearts and minds of many.  You can find out more about Jansson and see more of her illustrative catalogue of works here.

Plastic made perfect


These characters are created using recyled and repurposed plastic components. "My work is based on: collecting, gathering… of objects or parts of objects mainly made of plastic found on pavements, in bins of flee markets or brought by friends and family, members of the Recycle club. I then commit to a simple principle as I assemble; that is original colours and shapes of the collected parts may not be modified.
