If you love letterpress, issue 8 is full of letterpress goodness: a profile of Studio on Fire, woodtype, and abecedary all about letterpress plus the Letterpress Sampler featuring over 50 printers! This documentary is about the craft of hand-lettered sign making, a once widespread trade that has come close to obsolescence thanks to the proliferation of computer designs, die-cut vinyl lettering and inkjet printers. In 2010, Directors Faythe Levine and Sam Macon, with Cinematographer Travis Auclair, began profiling two dozen sign painters dedicated to preserving this time-honoured tradition. UPPERCASE featured Faythe Levine in issue #8.

The purpose of this auction is to raise funds for the upcoming studio move (our current home of the past 8 years is in a building slated for "redevelopment" and so we'll be moving to new accommodations later this summer).
Due to the heavy weight of the package, this stack is only available to ship within North America. However, we have created other listings for individual out-of-print back issues #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 and #12 that we can ship internationally.
